About Angie |
Angie is a mum, a student, a volunteer and a therapist. Becoming a mother raised an awareness of the many and varied issues, struggles and joys of pregnancy and birth. Angie's journey to motherhood was littered with obstacles, potholes and the occasional major detour. While studying to become a hypnotherapist a few years after her own birthing experience, Angie discovered how hypnotherapy can change the way pregnancy and childbirth can be experienced. Wanting other women and couples to know they could make a difference to their experience lead to Angie specialising in hypnotherapy for fertility, pregnancy and childbirth.
Angie's passion to change birthing culture one woman and baby at a time perfectly compliments her desire to become more involved in her local community. Angie started volunteering at Olivia's Place pregnancy and early parenting resource and support centre where "It takes a village..." has been embraced by the local community . |
Angie's History |
In 2001 Angie completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Not sure that this was the path for her, many other avenues were explored until Angie enrolled in a Hypnotherapy course.
In 2013 Angie became a hypnotherapist on completion of her certificate IV in Clinical Hypnotherapy through the Academy of Hypnotic Science (Victoria's first government accredited hypnotherapy training). 2014 saw Angie begin volunteering at Olivia's Place and undertake the online training 'Pregnancy Support Consultancy'. In 2015 Angie returned to the Academy of Hypnotic Science to undertake specialist hypnotherapy training in Fertility, Pregnancy and Childbirth - The first government approved Diploma level training of its kind in Australia. In 2018 undertook consultancy training for The Goulding SleepTalk Process. After the success of using the process with her own daughter for separation anxiety some years ago, Angie understands that the whole family benefits from this gentle process. |
